BAM LB Deposition Trough

Offering an extremely high compression ratio, the BAM LB Deposition Trough is ideal for use with a Brewster Angle Microscope. The long and thin subphase area of 975cm2 (75x13cm) gives a monolayer containment area of 925cm2. Symmetric twin barrier compression of the monolayer ensures that the central region of the film being imaged is held under the centrally positioned microscope with minimum drift of material giving improved time dependent footage and image sequence capture. This trough is also ideally proportioned for use with the Nima MicroBAM, positioned face-to-face with the Surface Pressure Sensor.

A large dipping well of dimensions 100x30x75mm depth and a 75mm stroke LB Deposition Mechanism also enables deposition onto substrates when the BAM/MicroBAM is not in use. Langmuir-Schaefer deposition of a large number of layers is also possible on this trough.
