Cherrygarth Cottages are a collection of luxurious converted farm buildings, nestled in the beautiful Howardian Hills of North Yorkshire. The rustic cottages offer the perfect Yorkshire retreat, oozing with classic country style whilst offering 21st-century comfort.
Our work with the business was centred around creating their online presence, by designing and building a new website which reflected the beauty and quality of the rustic cottages, matching their 5* offering.
NIMA designed a logo, which was inspired by a stone carving of ‘Cherrygarth Cottages’ that stood outside the property. This lettering was then digitised, which added to Cherrygarth Cottages’ identity of authenticity and providing branding which would subsequently remain consistent throughout the website, literature and any graphics. In addition to the logo, NIMA also coordinated a photoshoot with expert photographer Olivia Brabbs. Olivia worked with the client to perfectly capture the essence of the cottages, with a concept of warmth and welcoming in order to evoke and mimic feelings of being inside the cottages. We were able to create a portfolio of beautiful images which would illustrate the site, and also then be used to showcase the properties.
These steps assisted the development of the website, alongside work by Helen Reynolds from Ink Gardener Copywriting, who NIMA commissioned to write the web copy in a way which conveyed the brand’s message, told their story, and additionally enhanced the site’s SEO. The final element of the design was bringing each of these elements together and adding some fundamental aspects which would allow a smooth and thorough customer journey, ultimately resulting in a sale. A ‘Local Area’ tab was added, which aimed to encourage tourists and offer a more whole experience on the site, as well as a new booking system which could be entirely managed by the client. Finally, NIMA provided a training session with the client on how to manage this feature, following the website’s completion.

The NIMA team did an excellent job of redesigning my website. The new site has resulted in more traffic and consequently more bookings. I work with the team ongoing, and Nicky and Mark are always obliging when I need to make any website updates or amends. Very happy I chose NIMA to work on the Cherrygarth Cottages website.
